The 2011 Flex Pro was the first Flex Pro to be held in Los Angeles, California. The winner, Evan Centopani, is competing in only his second professional show. His first professional show was the 2009 New York Pro, which he also was the victor of. Surprisingly, in only his second show, he was able to place ahead of previous Mr. Olympia winner Dexter Jackson.

Evan Centopani, Dexter Jackson, Dennis Wolf and more bodybuilders also intend on competing in the Arnold Classic which takes place very soon as well. Much of the gossip is that Dexter Jackson and Dennis Wolf intend to peak for the Arnold Classic show and not to concentrate so much on the Flex Pro.
