Although training in general and pushing yourself to new limits are essential for muscle growth and strength, overworking your body can lead to serious side effects that you can certainly do away with. Normally, the body should be able to forewarn you that it is being overworked. When this happens, you will definitely be prompted in one form or another. This is an indicative time to calm down your muscles and hardcore training and relax a bit in order for your body to recover adiquately.
Overworking your body will definitely not empower your muscles; instead it will drain the strength out of it. This phenomenon is referred to as  “catabolic metabolism”, in which the muscular size and strength decreases quite considerably if they are worked more than normal consistency. Besides all that, there is an imminent risk that the muscles might be subjectable to damages and fractures. Moreover, over working your muscles can create an unwanted air of imbalance between your body’s capability to grow or transit itself to higher intensity levels. In short, overloading your body’s muscles can cause health disorders and other health complications. Bicep tears, pec tears, and many common muscular injuries are often associated with overtraining.
The symptoms which one generally come across after being over trained are easily seen as well as hard to detect. Firstly, there is an evident and clear indication of decrease in size and strength of the muscle. The reason for that is actually catabolism. Catabolism  eats into the muscles and drains them down; the opposite as anabolism. When your body is anabolic, this means that you are in a general state of building muscle. Being in a catabolic state is not something that athletes and bodybuilders want to be in. The second symptom which one faces is that recovery days are more prolonged than normal. When the recovery time is irregular and inconsistent then most probably, the individual is overworking himself/herself.
Elevated heart rates are the third symptom which an over-worked person might have to face, especially when he/she wakes up in the morning. If he or she finds his heart pumping more blood, it means that the effect of overtraining has taken its toll on the heart. As a result, the blood pressure might disconcertedly increase. Hence, it is natural to understand that the over work has demeaned their bad effects on the vital organ such as the heart.
There are a lot of symptoms which are more straight forward and more understandable; and they are ones involving both joint and muscular pains. If the pains are relentless, then the individual must be extra careful, as the muscle tear and damage might have been done already and can be worsened with excessive training. Furthermore these symptoms may be followed by headaches. This symptom actually is indicative of the tentative health state of the body and its weakness in general. And still, these symptoms which have been mentioned are not all of the semptoms that one may face. The body is disordered after all and the symptoms syndicate complexity and depth in magnitude.

After a prolonged training session in which the body has been over-strained, one will feel tired even if he has not done anything that would normally require one to be tired. You will feel helpless sometimes putting yourself in what would normally be a very natural and careless position. And that is not all; overtrained athletes will also feel a lack in appetite throughout the whole day. Another thing which is quite funny actually is that overtrained bodybuilders will feel hungry but at the same time feel an unwillingness to eat anything. This is the demise which one finds him/herself in and is a serious situation to reckon with.
Other symptoms which are most commonly found are insomnia and muscle injures like ruptures and hand tremors. All these symptoms are actually quite serious and need to be considered. All in all, body building is generally a healthy activity is contending with, but if done while making the body feel unhappy, can lead to disastrous and forgettable experiences.
