Lower the portion sizes of your food and eat 6, smaller meals per day. Eating more often actually will make your metabolism sky-rocket. Do not make the mistake however of eating 6 large meals per day. Cut the portions down a little and make sure you eat once every 3 hours during the day. Again, make sure with every meal you add a lean protein source. If don’t have easy access to this, then a protein shake can come in handy. The problem with many Americans and obese people in general is that we pay too much to the traditional, routine eating. Our breakfast is too small, dragging our metabolism into the gutter and loading ourselves up with a gigantic supper with not many meals in between.

#4: Increase your Cardiovascular Exercise
Cardio in general is the best type of exercise for burning fat. Certain kinds of cardio such as High Intensity Interval Training may specificly accelerate the fat burning process more effectively. Many bodybuilders prefer to use long duration, low intensity cardio as it has been proven to burn more calories directly from fat stores and might be easier for those who carry a lot of weight around. Great ways to burn these are briskly walking on a tredmill or around the neighbordhood, using the stepmill, or riding a bike/stationary bike.
